My given name was Vernon Howell; the neighborhood kids would tease me by calling me “Vernie.” I had a lonely and sad childhood. I was a bad student and spent most of my evenings playing guitar and reading the Bible. I began to feel my life was incomplete.

Life changed for me when I came to Waco, Texas and joined one of Salvation Inc.'s independent religions, the Branch Davidians. I soon embraced Salvations Inc.'s network opportunity and became an IRO myself. Ultimate power and national recognition are finally mine. Now, not only have I gained financially, but I have applied those Biblical teachings and changed my life into one of passion and adventure.
